FAMBAM Privacy Policy

FAMBAM is a mobile app operated by Fambam Limited for families attending baby and parenting expo events. It helps users register or sign in, browse expo information, view exhibitors, use the floor plan, save shopping lists, follow exhibitors, receive expo messages, collect promotions, and chat with the FAMBAM AI assistant.

This policy explains how Fambam Limited handles personal data collected through the app. Where the app links to exhibitor, ticketing, advertiser, or other third-party services, those services may apply their own privacy notices and terms.

Information we collect

We may collect account and contact details such as name, surname, email address, phone number, family role, parenting stage, expected due date, child age range, and language preference. We may collect app activity such as login status, expo check-ins, saved promotions, shopping lists, followed exhibitors, message interactions, floor plan usage, search terms, AI chat messages, device identifiers, push notification tokens, analytics events, crash and diagnostic reports, and technical logs.

How we use information

We use information to operate the app, create and secure accounts, send verification codes, personalise expo content, show relevant exhibitors and promotions, support shopping lists and saved items, provide AI chat responses, improve floor plan and search features, analyse app performance, prevent misuse, answer support requests, and comply with legal or operational requirements.

Promotional use and opt-out

During registration, the app asks whether personal data may be used for FAMBAM promotional purposes. If you tick the opt-out box, we will record that preference and avoid using your personal data for those promotional purposes where the app controls the communication. You may also contact support to update your preference.

Sharing

Fambam Limited may share data with technology providers, hosting providers, analytics providers, messaging and email providers, and service partners who help operate FAMBAM. We do not sell personal data. Exhibitors and event organisers may receive information only where needed to provide a feature you use, fulfil an offer, or where you choose to interact with them.

Analytics and diagnostics

We use third-party analytics and crash-reporting tools, including Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, to understand how the app is used, measure app performance and installs, and detect crashes and errors so we can improve the app. These tools may collect usage data, device identifiers, approximate (IP-based) location, and diagnostic information such as crash logs. We keep Google's advertising features (Google signals) turned off, and this data is not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites. AI chat

Messages sent to the FAMBAM AI assistant may be processed to generate answers about expo information, products, exhibitors, promotions, shopping planning, and app usage. To generate responses, your messages are sent to and processed by third-party AI service providers acting on our behalf. Do not submit sensitive medical, financial, identity, or confidential information in the chat. AI responses may be incomplete or inaccurate and should be checked before relying on them.

Retention and security

We keep personal data only for as long as needed for app operation, event administration, support, audit, legal compliance, analytics, and security. We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards, but no internet or mobile service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your choices

You may request access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of promotional consent where applicable. Some records may need to be retained for security, audit, legal, or transaction reasons. To make a request, contact info@fambamhk.com.

Children's information

FAMBAM is intended for use by adult parents, caregivers, and expecting parents, and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly allow children to create accounts. Some information you provide relates to your child or pregnancy — such as parenting stage, expected due date, and a child's age range and gender. You provide this as the parent or guardian, and we use it only to personalise expo content and recommendations. We do not collect a child's name or exact date of birth. You can update or remove this information at any time by editing your profile or deleting your account.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Profile → Delete Account). When you delete your account, we remove or anonymise your personal information, including your email address, phone number, and name, and you are signed out. Some de-identified records may be retained for analytics, security, audit, or legal purposes.

Changes

We may update this policy when the app, expo services, legal requirements, or operational practices change. The latest active version will be shown in the app.
